Golden Honey Drop Tourmaline Ring is a one-of-a-kind engagement ring handcrafted in solid 14K yellow gold and set with a 0.63 carat natural unheated golden tourmaline. Its elegant pear cut reveals luminous champagne-yellow tones with warm honey, earthy tones and golden undertones that shift beautifully in changing light.

The natural tourmaline is held in a refined open setting with two of Nangi’s signature pointy prongs and a protective V-prong, allowing light to flow freely through the gemstone while highlighting its brilliance. Paired with a delicate half-round band, the design feels timeless, minimalist and effortlessly elegant.

Tourmaline

Tourmaline is celebrated for its extraordinary diversity of color, displaying one of the widest color ranges of any gemstone. From delicate pink and vivid red to green, blue, yellow, and deep violet, its remarkable palette makes each tourmaline distinctly individual. Some gemstones even reveal two or more colors within a single crystal.

Color is the defining characteristic of tourmaline. Its many hues are created by subtle variations in chemical composition, while the intensity, tone, clarity, and cut all contribute to the character and beauty of the individual gemstone. At Nangi, we select tourmalines for their distinctive color, proportions, and overall visual beauty.

With a hardness of 7–7.5 on the Mohs scale, tourmaline is well suited to fine jewelry and can be enjoyed for years when treated with appropriate care.

The name tourmaline derives from the Sinhalese toramalli, referring to mixed or multicolored gemstones. Its extraordinary range of colors also meant that tourmaline was historically mistaken for other precious gemstones. Green tourmalines were once believed to be emeralds, while red varieties were confused with rubies until advances in mineralogy revealed their true identity.

Drop Collection

The drop has been part of Nangi from the beginning, shaped by the meeting of two worlds. Inspired by the rain of Bergen and the silhouette of Sri Lanka, the symbol reflects our origins and the duality at the heart of Nangi. In the Drop Collection, this meaningful form is reimagined through pear-shaped diamonds and natural gemstones, interpreted with refined Scandinavian minimalism where graceful curves meet a delicate point and light, color and form take center stage.

From diamond rings and earrings to pendants and one-of-a-kind gemstone pieces, each design is shaped by carefully considered proportions, delicate lines and a sense of lightness and balance. Feminine, timeless and quietly distinctive, Drop carries a symbol close to our heart into jewelry created to become part of your story.
